Event Name: Kasadya Interschool Contests: Battle of Wits and Creative Writing Competition

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Venue: Cagayan de Oro National High School – Senior High School Campus, Cagayan De Oro City
Represent your school in the upcoming Kasadya Interschool Contests: Battle of the Wits!
Test your knowledge on topics ranging from the rich history of Cagayan de Oro to trends in pop culture.
Create a team of 3-5 members. This is open to Senior High School students in Cagayan de Oro City representing their school. Only one (1) team per school is allowed.
The even si help face-to-face and divided into multiple rounds, focusing on a diverse range of topics, from rich history of Cagayan de oro City to the latest trends in pop culture.
Topics:
1. The contest will have three (3) rounds. East (1 point per question), Moderate (3 points per question) and Difficult (5 points per question).
2. The questions will be flashed on the screen. The quiz master will read the question twice. After the second reading, the game master shall say teh word “Go” and participants shall write their answers on their answer cards.
3. The time limit for answering questions is a s follows: Easy and Moderate Round (10 seconds); Difficult Round (15 seconds)
4. After the time limit and buzzer sound, all contestants must stop writing, and once the game master says “UP” all contestants mus raise their answer cards and show their answers.
5. The leaderboard showing each of the team’s scores and randking will be shown on the screen after each round and whenever deemed necessary.
6. Coaching from advisers and audiences is strictly prohibited.
7. Cellphones, gadgets, or other readied materials for reference are strictly prohibited during the contest proper.
8. The committee and event organixers have the right to disqualify any contestants that violate.
Show off your skills in Creative Writing!
Represent your school in our upcoming Kasadya Interschool Contests: Creative Writing! This contest encompasses original poetry and short stories in English and Filipino.
1. The essay contest is open to Senior High School students in Cagayan de Oro City representing their school. Only one (1) participant for each category per school is allowed.
2. The entries can be in form of creative non-fiction or fictional writing compositions relevant to the topic presented during the contest proper.
3. Categories
4. This creative writing contest will be written on the spot. Cellphones, gadgets, pr other deadied materials for reference are strictly prohibited during the contest proper.
5. Participants will be given one (1) hour and thirty (30) minutes to complete their entry.
6. Content must not contain any offensive, obsencem or inappropriate content.
7. Content must be original and unpublished work. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
8. Bond papers will be provided at the contest venue. The participants may bring their pens and pencils.
40% – Content and impact of the entry
30% – Relevance & adherence to the theme
20% – Organization and clarity
10% – Creativity and orginality of work
Total of 100%
