This year, Northern Mindanao takes the helm as the host for Mindanao Tourism Expo (MTEx) 2024. Themed “Limitless Adventures in Mindanao”, the expo aims to showcase the finest destinations and products that the second-largest island in The Philippines has to offer.
Following the success of the inaugural Mindanao Tourism Expo (MTEx) held in Davao in January 2023, the stage is now set for the second installment of this largest travel and tourism expo. The 2nd Mindanao Tourism Expo 2024 is scheduled to take place from April 26-28, 2024, at The Atrium, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City.
MTEx 2024 is a collaborative effort among the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) five regional offices in Mindanao: Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, Caraga, as well as the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
With a focus on promoting Mindanao as a safe and vibrant tourism destination, MTEx 2024 aims to attract both domestic and international travelers. The event also seeks to position Northern Mindanao as a premier destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE), leveraging its natural beauty and hospitality infrastructure to attract business and leisure travelers alike.
Furthermore, all 16 Department of Tourism (DOT) regional offices, numerous tour operators and private stakeholders will be in attendance, presenting a myriad of opportunities for visitors to discover the diverse wonders of The Philippines.
