The workshop will teach you a series of techniques, flows, and moves that can be added to your current repertoire. This includes a certificate of participation.

This seminar is for anyone interested in using weapons based choreography, forms, presentations, and skits.
Cosplayers are encouraged to bring their own weapon props.

COSPLAY WEAPONS WORKSHOP
It aims to upgrade your cosplaying skits and stage choreography. This will hype up your skills in maneuvering short and long demo-weapons as a springboard to your cosplay performances and cosplay video competitions.
This event is in partnership with APX Fitness Center and Martial Arts Academy as an opening salvo to our series of workshops.

The objective of this workshop is to teach you the fundamentals and basics of Weaponry as an Art. This will also introduce you to a series of techniques, flows and moves, in which you could either combine or add to your current repertoire.
This workshop is specialized for cosplayers – all manga, anime, donghua, and manhwa lovers. Yet, we also welcome all martial art enthusiasts and individuals with zero martial arts skill. People from all walks of life can also join, ranging from students, coaches, teachers dancers, choreographers, theater performers, photographers, to videographers alike.
Experience the following:
– Sword (Jiàn 劍)
– Saber (Dāo 刀)
– Staff (Gùn. pron./gwoon/ 棍)
– Spear (Qiang. pron./chyang/ 槍)
– and any similar demo-weapons like samurai katana, and short sticks.

Reminders:
Cosplayers, you are encouraged to bring your own demo-weapon; bringing your desired anime costume is a plus. You will use them to video-document your performance on the later part of the workshop.
Note: Avoid bringing any sharp and/or live weapons, such as whiplash, nunchucks, guns, karambit, chainwhip, etc. Everyone’s safety and security are our primary concern.
