Cagayan de Oro City, led by Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy and in collaboration with the local Filipino-Chinese community, is brewing up a spectacular celebration for the Year of the Dragon. Mark your calendars from February 8th to 18th for a vibrant showcase of tradition, culture, and dazzling festivities.

In Cagayan de Oro, Chinese New Year i more than just a celebration; it’s a vibrant event with a touch of the city’s rich cultural heritage. Imagine the rhythmic clang of cymbals and booming drums accompanying energetic lion dances, their vibrant colors entertaining Kagay-anons out on the street to celebrate the New Year. Streets will be adorned with vibrant red lanterns, symbolizing good luck and prosperity, while the warmth of the Filipino-Chinese community shines through every smile and shared experience.
