In a recent post on their social media page, inDrive , a ride-hailing giant enters (or re-enters) the Philippine market with Bacolod, Baguio, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, and Davao as the pilot cities.
Some Cagayan de Oro drivers and commuters have experienced using the app in the past, however, the app stopped operating in PH, but now it’s finally back to compete with Grab, the largest ride-hailing app operating in the Philippines.
The app was originally called inDriver, but rebranded as inDrive in October 2022. It has been downloaded more than 150 million times.
But what sets inDrive apart? Unlike its competitors, it offers a unique feature: direct fare negotiation between passengers and drivers. A bid-based ride-hail app. This innovative approach empowers users to find rides that fit their budget, while drivers have more flexibility in setting their rates.
Not only the passenger has the say of the price but the driver too! You can negotiate the fare, offer a price, ignore the offer, or select a new request. Drivers can also select the ride they want to accept. This feature allows both the passenger and driver to have full control of the cost and experience. InDriver is different from a traditional taxi service because users can negotiate the price of their ride. Drivers are not penalized for declining orders.
