Miss Universe Cagayan de Oro 2024: Anticipating the Next Crown Holder
Get ready for a night of glamour, grace, and undeniable beauty as the stunning candidates vie for the coveted title of Miss Universe Cagayan de Oro 2024 this January 27, 2024, 7 PM, at The Atrium, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City.
General Admission tickets are free and are now available at MAGS, Limketkai.
Cagayan de Oro’s beauty queens have long dazzled on the national stage with the city consistently sending strong contenders vying for the national crown. Excitement is building as we search for a new queen with universal charm who will follow in the footsteps of Maria Isabel Lopez (Miss Universe 1982), Elizabeth Berroya (Miss Universe 1992), and Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015).
From Humble Beginnings to Grand Spectacle
The Miss Universe Cagayan de Oro pageant itself boasts a remarkable history. While its roots stem back as early as the 1950s, the modern iteration we know and love began in 1980. Initially held at the Xavier University Gymnasium, the competition has grown in grandeur, now captivating audiences at prestigious venues like the Limketkai Atrium.
Last September 2023, following the new Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) Accredited Partnership Program, Rejellaine Sarip Vidad was selected to lead as the Accredited Partner for Cagayan de Oro City in searching for the next Miss Universe with the initial screening held last October 21, 2023, at Limketkai Center giving the candidates a month-long headstart.
The Road to the Crown: Coronation Night
Watch as this year’s grand coronation night promises an electrifying display of talent, elegance, and advocacy. The 17 captivating candidates have already captivated audiences with their grace in the swimsuit and evening gown presentations and are now ready for the grand coronation night.

Based on the official swimsuit photoshoot posted on Facebook of the pageant organizer, Natazha Vea Bautista of Brgy 40 is an online favorite with 5.1K reaction, followed by Hanna Crystel Malay and Erica Dane Amante with 2.7K and 2.3K reactions respectively, while for the Headshot photos, Mereyl Del Puerto of Indahag captured everyone’s attention with 4.3K reaction followed by Sol Sigrid Sumalhay of Gusa with 3.2K reactions.

Swimsuit and Long Gown Competition
The pageant held the successful swimsuit and long gown competition last January 19, 2024, 5:00 PM at the Event Hall of SM Downtown Premiere. The event was graced by judges Neil Peres, Wilma Doesnt, and Eric Pineda. The program was directed by Dennis Almazan. The swimsuit was designed by Shine J Casiño. The official photos released were photographed by Sluggo Pujante Reyes III. The crowd got a sneak peek of candidates and the top contenders of this year’s pageant.

The Coronation Night
The stage is set for the grand coronation night of Miss Universe Cagayan de Oro, an event highly anticipated by Cagayanons as the winner will represent the city in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant. The program will be directed by Dennis Almazan and hosted by KC Montero, Nicole Abas-Datayan, and Berjayneth Chee, with Arthur Nery as a special guest of the event.
