Cagayan de Oro City – Yesterday, December 17, 2023, the entire Northern Mindanao region, including Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental, was placed under Signal No. 1 due to Tropical Depression “Kabayan”.
The Northern Mindanao Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council also raised a red alert status throughout the region at 8 PM on Sunday.
Signal No. 1 was also raised over 13 Mindanao provinces, including Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte.
