Cagayan de Oro City – PSA Misamis Oriental announced the steps to requesting replacement for peeled-off photo Phil ID as posted on their Facebook page.
How to Request a Phil ID Replacement with a peeled-off photo?
1. Bring the Phil ID with peeled-off photo to a PhilSys Registration Center.
2. Present the Phil ID with peeled-off photo to the Screener and fill-out the request form for replacement.
3. Surrender the Phil ID with peeled-off photo and accomplished request form.
4. Wait for the text message from the PSA for the release of the new PhilID.
Replacement of Phil ID with peeled-off photo is FREE.
Last September 19, 2023, PSA website posted a message encouraging Filipinos to use Phil IDs and ePhil IDs for financial transactions.
It said registered persons can present a sufficient and valid proof of identification in various transactions in financial institutions, such as opening Basic Deposit Accounts (BDAs).
This announcement comes with comments from netizens complaining about still not receiving their IDs despite having been registered since 2021.
Registered persons may also check the availability of the ePhilID via https://appt.philsys.gov.ph and set an appointment to claim it at any PhilSys Registration Center. The ePhilID may also be downloaded through a secure link indicated in an official text message from the PSA.
