Cagayan de Oro City Council Debates Allowing Bao-bao on National Highways
In a video posted by CDO City Information Office, sourced from CdeO City Council, the two-minute, 35 second clip shows Councilors James Judith II and Romeo Calizo explain their respective positions on Judith’s proposal to amend provisions of the City Traffic Code to allow the tri-cabs (bao-baos) to pass through Cagayan de Oro City’s national highways.
Judith also proposed that the City Council’s public utilities committee chaired by Calizo spearhead deliberations on the proposed amendments.
The discussion covered topics such where the tricabs will be allowed, wherein as per LTFRB, they are currently allowed on the outermost lane of secondary highways as well as the condition that the tricab is used privately and not as public transportation.
